Turkey urges launching a ground offensive against IS

Turkish president has urged the international community to step up attacks against militant groups Islamic State ( IS ) , and warned that the armed group to expand its operations outside of Iraq and Syria . " We see a deeper problem . Situation is now out of control because of the Islamic State has a global characteristic . Danger we must extinguish before it swept over many countries , " said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday . When Erdogan was speaking to participants of a special meeting of the World Economic Forum in Istanbul . The Turkish leader confirms airstrike AS IS addressed to base only give " temporary settlement " , and adding world leaders need to " urgent action " to combat not only through the air , but also on land . " Forces Peshmerga ( Kurdish ) who 've been at war in Iraq and the military in Iraq should be a part of it so terrestrial activity will be stronger , " Erdogan said , according to Xinhua . He also emphasizes the various efforts to train fighters to fight the Islamic State must be done as soon as possible .
