South Korean warship and the North Sea Border Crossfire

Seoul - South Korean warship (ROK) clashed with the battleship North Korea (Korea), the morning local time. The incident occurred when a North Korean patrol boats entered waters near the disputed western coast of the Korean Peninsula. South Korean Defense Ministry official said the South Korean warship forced off warning shots towards North Korean patrol boat. Similarly, as reported by Reuters on Tuesday (10/07/2014). Warning shots are rewarded with another shot by a North Korean ship before the ship left the disputed waters. There were no fatalities in this crossfire. This incident is the latest incident shows the tension between the two countries. The incident occurred near the island of Yeonpyeong, which in 2010 and then bombed by North Korea, killing 4 people, including 2 civilians. Areas of Yeonpyeong near the site of fierce clashes between the two countries in the past. Many soldiers of both countries were killed in the confrontation. Often the North Korean patrol boat violated the sea border, or the so-called Northern Limit Line. The border is always rejected by the North as a maritime boundary. The incident occurred after a high official visits North Korea to South Korea last weekend. There are three official who visited North Korea and met with South Korean officials. The results of these meetings led to an agreement to continue the dialogue between the two countries, in order to improve the relationship had deteriorated since negotiations deadlocked in February.
