Infants 6 Months Dies After Dog Attacked Pets
A six-month-old baby girl in Daventry, England, died after being attacked by an aggressive pet dog at home relatives. Police received a call incoming events on Friday (03/10/2014), at 22:30 local time and immediately rushed to the scene. Paramedics tried to save the life of a baby who was taken to the Northampton General Hospital. Unfortunately, the baby was later pronounced dead. Dogs that attack was reported to have perished at the scene. Until now definitely kind of dog is not yet known. A relative who tried to separate the dogs with the baby also reportedly suffered bite wounds. Detective Sergeant Garry Baker, who led the investigation said events like this are rare, and the family is experiencing profound grief. "The family have requested that they are left grieving in this difficult time," Baker said as quoted by the BBC, Tuesday (07/10/2014). Daventry District Council Chris Long said that while the details of events such as what type of dog has not come out officially, there are many factors that can trigger an attack of the dog. "At that time there may be an element of jealousy between the baby and the dog. These dogs have position and power to do something about the situation. Each household where there are animals and the kids always have a potential risk of danger," Long said. Over Chris who is also a member of the Daventry District Council said this tragedy is the 'alarm' to apply to have a dog license. "This is an alarm for people to make sure that when they choose a dog, it is the kind that has a good reputation and that they are able to control the dog. Tragedy underlines that responsible dog ownership is something we should encourage," Over lid.
